NAB summons Usman Buzdar again on August 30

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday summoned former Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, who is facing allegations of accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income, awarding contracts to favourites, exporting wheat abroad and making illegal appointments, on August 30, 2023.

Local news channel reported that last time Buzdar had appeared before the NAB team was on May 2, 2023. However, he failed to show up after May 9, they said, and added that ex-chief minister did not appear on May 9, May 18, May 24 May 30, June 5, June 13, June 22, July 4, July 10, July 31, August 4 and August 15.

Buzdar was continuously making excuses to skip questioning, they said.
