ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court criticized the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has destroyed the government institution but also makes its image doubtful in the public.
Three member bench of the apex court which was headed by Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and other two members were Justice Qazi Faiz Isa and Justice Tariq Masood. The bench allowed the PPP leader for medical treatment abroad for one month and SC ordered to remove his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The court was dealing with the two matters including Dr Asim request for removal of his name ECL and the NAB petitions for requesting to cancel the bail of Dr Asim.
Justice Dost Muhammad remarked during the hearings that NAB some people to travel abroad for treatment of backbone and they were only arrested only to set them free. NAB was taking decisions of personal likes and dislikes and looks like some of the decisions were made from the hidden sources, he added.
Justice Faiz Isa said that NAB has destroyed the government institutions and also tarnished its image in the public eyes.
