Nadim warns of efforts to undermine “unity and trust”

KABUL: The acting Minister of Higher Education during the graduation ceremony of more than 470 students from Kabul Education University, stated that some countries are attempting to undermine Islamic values and create distrust among the country’s citizens.

Neda Mohammad Nadim, who called on the youth at this ceremony to utilize their potential for the advancement of Afghanistan and not to leave the country, said: “There are several important things that the enemy is very focused on. They are determined to destroy unity, they are determined to destroy trust, they are determined to destroy leadership, and they are also determined to undermine religion.”

Anwarul Haq Anwar, head of the Office of Administrative Affairs, who was also present at the ceremony, said that foreign countries’ interference in the country’s internal affairs has now been curtailed. Anwar added that the Islamic Emirate is committed to employing and supporting the capabilities of the younger generation.

The head of the Office of Administrative Affairs continued: “There is not a single person in the entire system who has been appointed under foreign pressure or orders. There is not a single person here who is unaware of the thoughts and concerns of his fellow citizens, or who lacks this sense. There is not a single person here who would prioritize the goals of foreigners over his own.”

Abdul Baqi Haqqani, the acting Head of the National Examination Authority, was another speaker at the graduation ceremony. He also emphasized the development of modern sciences in the country, stating that there is a need to pay special attention to contemporary sciences.

Abdul Baqi Haqqani said: “For the self-sufficiency of the country and to bring it in line with other countries, the academic community has a responsibility, especially those in the fields of education and contemporary sciences.”

Sayed Bashir Agha Hashemi, Chancellor of the Kabul Education University, regarding the graduation of students, said: “I urge the senior officials to provide more resources to the Kabul Education University because it is the only university that trains professional teachers, and these teachers later teach in schools and madrasas, shaping the future of the students.”

According to the officials, more than 470 students from various departments of Kabul Education University, including Computer Science, Languages, Psychology, and Physical Education, received graduation certificates.
