CAPE TOWN (Agencies): Naseem Shah is one of the five Pakistani cricketers who have officially entered their names for the SA20 season 2 auction.
He has submitted his bid with a reserve price of 850,000 South African Rand (R850,000). Joining him in this list are four other Pakistani players: Shan Masood (R850,000), Usama Mir (R425,000), Mohammad Nawaz (R850,000), and Usman Qadir (R425,000).
The upcoming auction, scheduled for September 27 in Johannesburg, will feature a total of 122 overseas players from 14 different countries. After the inaugural year of the SA20 competition, each of the six participating teams has already retained some of their players, leaving 15 auction picks available across the teams.
The highly anticipated second season of South Africa’s premier T20 competition, SA20, is poised to commence on January 10. The inaugural match will see defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape facing off against Joburg Super Kings in Gqeberha. The tournament, spanning a month, will culminate in the crowning of a champion on February 10.
