Nation to remember A.Q Khan for making Pakistan a Atomic Power: Murad

ISLAMABAD: Minster for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed Tuesday said that nation should acknowledge the contribution of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan on Yum-e-Takbeer for making Pakistan an atomic power and also those who are safeguarding the country on various borders.

Speaking here at National Assembly, he said that Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam and one million people sacrificed their lives for it.

The minister said that it was our responsibility to make efforts for protection of its ideology and stood with  armed forces who were defending it territorial limits.

The minister said that Parliament would have to show unity to combat internal and external threats being faced by the county and to put it on way towards economic prosperity.

Those who made corruption in the country were behind the bars and their deeds should not be linked with Yum-e-Takbeer, he maintained.

The minister said the opposition should not raise hue and cry over the question of wasting Rs 3000 billion in corrupt activities.

“Nawaz Sharif should  be thankful to Imran Khan who had given him opportunity to spend Eid days in the country,” he added.

Murad Saeed said that previous rulers did not even set up a hospital of good standard in the country during last 35 years from where they or their children could get their treatment.

“ Shehbaz Shaif is sitting outside on the pretext of medical check-up but it is really unfortunate that they could not establish a hospital during the last 35 year from there they could get their treatment,” he added.

The nation has rendered great sacrifices to root out the menace of terrorism and around 70,000 people gave their lives.

Murad Saeed that previous governments created severe difficulties for the country sectors but Imran Khan would steer county out of these challenges.
