Nawaz ignores NAB summons in graft cases

Tariq Ullah Wardag

ISLAMABAD: Nawaz Sharif Saturday could not appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to record his statement in exp-ected supplementary references due to certain reasons.

The NAB on Friday issued a notice to Nawaz Sharif to appear in-person in Rawalpindi office to record his statement in supplementary references of Flagship Investments Limited and Al-Azizia Steel Mills cases.

The three-member investigation team led by the deputy director continued to wait for the former prime minister.

Meanwhile, the NAB Rawalpindi has decided to issue notice to the prime minister for not appearing before the NAB.

The accountability court will also be informed about non-appearance of Nawaz Sharif.

The National Accountability Bureau Rawalpindi will filed both supplementary references in the accountability court next week.
