LONDON (NNI): Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said on Saturday that he has directed Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to personally probe the ‘disappearance’ of workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
Nawaz Sharif answered questions of the media in London following his meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at his residence.
He said that he has a principled stance over his disqualification and the people of Pakistan have stood by him. Referring to his ‘homecoming rally’, he said that the people of Pakistan all along from Islamabad to Lahore supported his stance.
He said that he has directed Prime Minister Abbasi to personally probe the ‘disappearance’ of workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz ahead of NA-120 by-polls that were held on September 17.
He branded that democratic forces like PML-N are to suffer if reports of ‘religious parties being funded’ true.
PM Abbasi called on the former premier today after he returned from the United States after delivering an address to the United Nations General Assembly.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan who was sworn in August this year after Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification, had called on the ex-premier before leaving for the US as well.
