Nawaz Sharif, Maryam, issued notice for using state protocol

LAHORE (INP): Lahore High Court (LHC) issued notice to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Mayram Nawaz for using state protocol despite former minister’s disqualification by the apex court.

Justice Shahid Kareem heard the petition seeking return of the 40 vehicles which were deployed with him as state protocol when he was prime minister.

The petitioner has the stance that Nawaz Sharif was still using the state protocol and Punjab House despite SC had declared him disqualified. He pointed out that 40-car motorcade with the disqualified person just the wastage of nation exchequer.

The petition has also requested the ban on former PM meetings in Punjab House and having such a huge protocol.

On November 23, the contempt of court petition against Maryam Nawaz over her anti-judiciary remarks has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) requesting action against her.

The contempt of court plea? filed by Amna Malik saying that Maryam Nawaz has issued statements against the judiciary after appearing before accountability court as she was also posting anti-judiciary messages on social media on regular basis.

The plaintiff has the stance that every citizen poor or rich should have been respect the judiciary, however Maryam statement against the judiciary can create unrest in the country.
