Nawaz vows to give country new constitution
LAHORE: Deposed Nawaz Sharif has said we need to change the existing system of the country if we want to end the suffering of this country.
This he said while addressing to charged crowd outside Data Darbar when his four homecomings rally from Islamabad to Lahore by GT Road comes to an end.
Among the charged supporters and his thunderous applause, he thanked them for turning up in large number and assured their support in the coming endeavors of PML-N. His younger brother and CM Punjab made a first appearance in the four days long rally and said that the former prime minister was disqualified not corruption but for possessing an Iqama (work permit of the UAE).
Nawaz Sharif said that the existing system had been infected by virus and we need to clear it but for this I need help of the people to replace the infected system.
Our party appreciated the suggestions of Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani for changing the constitution and we will support him to make a new constitution, Nawaz said.
“We will bring a system that will give justice to whoever has been wronged. We will give out justice in 90 days,” he said.
“We will need to make new rules. We need to change the constitution. But we will change the system,” he promised. “I have come out for justice, not for power. I have come not for my rule, but for your rule over this country,” he said.
“Swear your loyalty to me, but swear truly. Tell me, what you swear to, will you fulfill?” he asked, receiving loud cheers in response. “Will you stand with me as we bring a revolution to Pakistan,” he asked. “I will never forget the love I have received on this trip. I promise to bring forth my new program on August 14, and I have full faith you will back me when I do,” he said.
