LAHORE: Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing has said that the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif has not affected the mega project China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
This he said in Lahore after meeting with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday. He added that CPEC has laid a strong foundation in carrying out their decades’ old socio-economic partnership that meant to improve living conditions of the people.
All the projects relating to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be executed smoothly and it pick up pace, he added.
He praised Nawaz Sharif’s support and commitment for and strengthening the China-Pak friendship and adding that both the countries are on the same page regarding the regional and international issues.
On Pakistan-Afghanistan relations, the ambassador urged both the countries to resolve their disputes amicably. He also urged Afghanistan to take advantage from CPEC and make itself stronger through trade.
