Nazim demands FIR for negligence in Asma case

MARDAN: District Nazim Mardan Himayatullah Mayar advocate has demanded of authorities concerned to register first information report (FIR) against those who had committed negligence in the case of 4-years old Asma as well as either try to change direction of the case or hide facts in the case.

The district nazim Himayatullah Mayar was speaking at a press conference held here on Wednesday.

He urged the relevant authorities to lodged FIR against Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaz Khan Khattak, Provincial Information Minister Shah Farman and PTI provincial law-maker Iftikhar Ali Mashwani as they had allegedly not only tried to change direction of the case but also to hide facts or suppress the case.

He also blamed that the district police officer Mardan Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad and provincial leadership of PTI had performed negative role in the gruesome incident of minor victim Asma of Gujargari area.

He said that they had also attempted to suppress the sexually assaulted and killing case of baby girl.

He lauded the Mardan based journalists for their bold reporting to highlight the case of Asma despite of the negative role of PTI provincial and local leadership and police administration in Mardan.

He thanked and appreciated the government of Punjab for its efforts in the case of Asma as it helped to trace out the real accused in the said incident.

On the occasion, he announced to hold protest demonstrations in all tehsils of the district against  negative role of Mardan police and PTI provincial government in the case of 4-years old Asma.

Mr. Himayatullah said on that day all main roads would be blocked for all kind of traffic so that to record their protest in this connection.
