Need for encryption regime

Representatives of Five Eyes intelligence alliance comprising the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand along with Japan and India has issued a new statement again calling for expanding “lawful access” into commercial encryption even though many technology analyst and former FBI General council has greatly recommended, not to do so. On the contrary, these autocrats of IT have always applied double standard of legal access to commercial encryption. On the one hand, members of Five Eyes alliance want protection of “End-to-end encryption”. On the other hand, they tacitly advise technology companies to weaken it by putting backdoors into the encryption system.

Tech. servers inclusive of backdoors are just like termites eating a wood from within. It is an open fact that the intelligence agencies of these countries do not allow weakening of their own cryptographic standard. However, they manipulate the encryption system for spying on their adversaries in specific and their citizens in general. It has been long suggested by the conspiracy theorist that the US is spying on its own people, since 9/11. Therefore, ban on Google and social media outlets like Facebook and twitter in Russia and China to ensure protection against potential hackers is not far-fetched.  In this modern age of IT, the anti-state elements and hacker may use these social media platforms to propagate anti-state agenda and promote hybrid wars. It is an undeniable truth that modern wars will not be fought with weapons rather technology so it is highly recommended that Pakistan, Turkey, Indonesia, China, Russia and Malaysia should propose and manufacture an alternate technological system to safeguard themselves and the developing countries from modern warfare.
