Neighboring countries accused of helping ISIS

KABUL (Khaama Press): The Taliban Foreign Minister says three neighboring countries support ISIS attacks in Afghanistan and the region. The Taliban Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, said at the opening ceremony of the Afghan-Kazakh exhibition, that these three neighbouring countries have provided the ground for ISIS in the region.
Muttaqi added that one of these countries provides manpower for ISIS, the second facilitates its educational programs, and the third encourages ISIS attacks.
Muttaqi did not name any specific country. However, reports says that Muttaqi’s targets are Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, Tajikistan and Iran.
These reports said that according to the Taliban, “Tajikistan provides human resources for ISIS and Iran plays a role in the transportation of ISIS.” He also added that investigations by this group show that 8 out of every 10 security incidents are designed outside of Afghanistan. Muttaqi said that if these countries fulfil their responsibility correctly, security problems will not arise in Afghanistan.
The Taliban Foreign Minister emphasized that Afghanistan does not harm others and that other countries should refrain from “destructive actions in Afghanistan.” He stated that Afghanistan’s security is linked to regional security and added that if Afghanistan is secure, the region will be safe.
Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, ISIS has emerged as the primary group posing security challenges to the Taliban. Recently, ISIS has intensified its attacks both within Afghanistan and across the region, presenting a significant threat to stability and peace in the region.
The increase in ISIS attacks underscores the complex security landscape in Afghanistan following the Taliban’s assumption of power. As ISIS seeks to expand its influence and destabilize the region, the Taliban faces ongoing efforts to confront this threat while consolidating their control over the country.
