MARDAN: Nine police officials including In-charge of police post were suspended here on Wednesday for inaction against criminals involved in Ice and heroin purchasing and smuggling as well as other unlawful activities.
Relevant police officials told that District Police Officer Mardan Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmad had suspended In-charge of Police Post located in Hatyaan area along with entire staff for not taking action against criminal gang involved in activities of Ice and heroin smuggling.
The suspended police officials were identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Idress Khan- In-charge of the said police post, head constable Saeed Ullah, constables Akbar Hussain, Farid Iqbal, Mehran, Zardad, Fawad, Zishaan and Afaq Javed.
They said that Dr. Saeed Ahmad had issued orders for departmental action against all the suspended police personnel.
Besides, they said that the DPO also instructed all Station House Officers of the police stations located on premises Mardan district to take stern action against the criminals involved in Ice and heroin business.
They said that he warned all SHOs that stern action would be taken against those police officials who were not taking action against such criminal gangs.
