Nine MoU signed to boost entrepreneurship in country

KABUL (BNA): The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced on Wednesday the signing of nine memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship in the country.

The agreements were established during a meeting chaired by Nooruddin Azizi, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, and attended by officials from nine domestic organizations.

During the meeting, representatives from these organizations shared insights into their respective projects and activities. Azizi highlighted the critical need for transparency and adherence to Islamic principles in all initiatives, emphasizing that the beneficiaries—particularly families and unemployed individuals—should be the priority in these projects.

The total value of the projects, which are set to be implemented across various provinces, is approximately $3,284,056. The initiatives will focus on providing vocational and professional skills training in regions including Kabul, Parwan, Maidan Wardak, Herat, Balkh, Baghlan, Samangan, Faryab, Nimruz, Jawzjan, and Badghis.

This collaborative effort aims to strengthen the economic foundation of families and create opportunities for those seeking employment, ultimately contributing to the development of a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Afghanistan.
