KANDAHAR: Zia Durrani, Spokesman of Kandahar police has said that at least nine Taliban fighters were killed and 12 others were arrested in an operation conducted by Afghan Special in Band-e-Taimor area in Kandahar province.
He added three hideouts of Taliban were destroyed in the crackdown and also recovered cache of weapons during the operation.
While talking to local media outlet, spokesman of Taliban, Qari Muhammad Yousaf Ahmadi said that the forces killed and arrested the civilians in the operation and they have no links with the Taliban.
