Nisar not joining PTI, will remain part of PML-N: Rana Sanaullah

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday claimed that former interior minister and estrange ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar will not join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday, he said that former prime minister was going to fight a case for the civilian supremacy. He asked the people to support Nawaz Sharif’s slogan of “Respect for Vote”.

The provincial minister said that he knew exactly who is pulling the strings of the PTI, adding that Imran Khan is playing someone else’s hands and thinking he would become prime minister.

The Punjab Minister critcised PTI chairman Imran Khan for claiming to take a ‘big wicket’ and warned that he may instead wrap up the entire system. “Who is Imran Khan to take any wickets? There are efforts being made to take big wickets in the politics of the country. He (Imran) should realise that the wicket of the system may fall instead,” he said.

He said that Nisar will never join any other party and will remain a part of the PML-N and there is no split within. “My assessment about Chaudhry Nisar, as a friend, colleague and party leader, is that he is not joining the PTI and will remain a part of the PML-N,” he added.

Rana Sanaullah said that PML-N will take part in the electoral process, and the people will give the verdict in the 2018 general elections to respect the sanctity of the vote as they support the narrative of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Karachi and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the PML-N president, and if necessary they will form political alliances for the next elections.

Commenting on Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, Sanaullah said that the CJP said that the Supreme Court is standing with the democracy.
