No change in policy towards Pakistan after BRICS declaration: Chinese Ambassador

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Sun Weidong has assured the Pakistan that nothing has changed in Chinese policy towards the Pakistan after the declaration of BRICS.

The leaders of five emerging powers including Brazil, Russia,India, China and South Africa (BRICS) has allegedly militant groups based in Pakistan including Jaish-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-i-Taiba and Haqqani network as the regional security concern for the first time and demanded to take action against them.

Sun Weidong cleared that after the BRICS declaration there has been no change in Chinese policy towards Pakistan and the groups that were mentioned in the BRICS statements were already banned in Pakistan.

While appreciating Pakistan’s effort and sacrifices, Weidong added that China fully supported Pakistan’s efforts and stance in eliminating the terrorism from world.
