No major breakthrough during talks with US: Taliban

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Taliban say no major development has been made so far in talks with the US as negotiation continues gradually in Doha.

The fifth round of talks between the Taliban and US delegation was underway in the capital of Qatar from the past few days.

“The issue of talks is sensitive and moving forward very carefully. During January talks both sides agreed to two points, the pullout of foreign forces and no use of Afghan soil against others and this time there is detail discussion on these issues,” said Mujahid.

He added there was no consensus reached on draft agreement as yet. The negotiation has been moving ahead with this reality and other publications and statements are far from reality, he remarked.
