No terrorist safe havens exist in country, Pakistan informs US Delegation

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister, Khawaja Asif has said that US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was informed in clear words that there is no terrorists safe havens existence in Pakistan

This he said while talking to private news channel on Wednesday. Khawaja Asif said that Tillerson was informed during a meeting with the Pakistan officials on Tuesday.

Earlier Rex Tillerson met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in a surprise visit to the Kabul on Monday and on Tuesday he arrive Islamabad on a one day visit.

Khawaja Asif added that Tillesons emphasized to take action against the Haqqani network and terrorists safe havens on its soil however he was told that terrorist’s attacks are not planned on Pakistani land and there are no terrorist safe havens in Pakistan.

Pakistan made it clear that who is responsible when a truck laden explosive material successfully reaches the target, where are the coalition forces, what are they doing Afghanistan?, he questioned.

Pakistan taken strict action against the terrorists and we get positive in this regard and our fight against terrorism will be continue but in our own interest, we cannot work for Afghan or American, Khawaja added.

Foreign Minister added that the basic aim of joint meeting of the civil and military leadership with the US Secretary of State to convey a united message of the country.
