No threats to country but to corrupt persons: Murad Saeed

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services MuradSaeed said that there was no threat to Pakistan but corrupt persons in the country were in danger.

The minister while talking to media persons outside the National Assembly on Thursday warned the People’s Party leadership that government would not step back from holding accountability of all involved in corrupt practices during their respective tenures.

He said that improving the living standard of people and economy was the mission of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) democratically elected government.

He said it was a difficult time but investment was coming to Pakistan and resources were increasing, adding PTI government would work for the development of country and would ensure due rights to the people by utilizing all available resources.

He added that a large number of projects were being carried out in Balochistan and in other provinces of the country.

He said that undue criticism would not stop the accountability drive against the corrupt elements, adding that PPP’s hue and cry was just to escape from accountability.

He said that Bilawal Bhutto, chairman PPP could not save his father Asif Ali Zardari by running “Abu BachaoMuhim” adding that “Abu” would not be saved by criticizing institutions of the country.

He said that the last governments of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PPP not only destroyed the national economy but also the institutions.

The minister said, “We are determined to hold every corrupt person accountable,” adding that PTI government would not come under pressure of the opposition.

He said that it was unfortunate that politicians looted and plundered loans taken in their tenure in the name of serving masses.

He said, “I want to remind accidental chairman of PPP that Sindh province is suffering from poverty more than other provinces as PPP did not do anything for betterment of the people of the province and made their own palaces.”

He said that Larkana Package was also embezzled by the PPP government adding that In charge of Bhutto house was also arrested and more proofs of corruption would be unearthed.

He said that recovered money from corrupt persons would be utilized for the betterment of masses.

Responding to a question, he said that Nawaz Sharif was not ill as he was not admitted in the hospital till date, adding Nawaz Sharif was just pretending and wanted to go to London and escape the process of accountability.
