Noor, Hamza, Sakiullah of Pakistan win titles in Qatar Junior Squash

PESHAWAR (APP): Top seeds Noor Zaman of Under-17, Muhammad Hamza of Under-15 and Saki Ullah of Under-11 categories clinched the titles in the Qatar Junior International Squash Championship being played at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash on Tuesday.

In the Under-17 final Noor Zaman of Pakistan was the top seeded player who defeated his Pakistani rival Asad Ullah Khan by 3-1, the score was 5-11, 11-4, 11-1 and 11-8.

In the Under-15 category Muhammad Hamza Khan of Pakistan defeated Muhammad Quda of Qatar in a one-sided affairs, the score was 11-5, 11-4 and 11-9 while in the Under-11 category Saki Ullah Khan of Pakistan defeated Muhammad Danial Danish of Qatar by 11-4, 11-3 and 11-9.

Earlier, another player of the Under-15 category unseeded Humam Ahmad defeated Abu Salam of Qatar in the qualifying round by 11-2, 11-5 and 11-4 before losing the match in the main round to top seed Muhammad Hamza of Pakistan at 11-7, 11-7 and 13-11.

In the Doha Junior Squash event unseeded Humam Ahmad defeated James Nicholas of England by 11-5, 11-5 and 11-4 before losing to his country man Malik Huzaifa Zahid of Pakistan by 11-9, 11-9 and 12-10 in the second round match.
