NPC approves contracts worth 204 million afghanis
KABUL: The National Procurement Commission (NPC) on Monday approved three contracts worth above 204 million afghanis, a statement from the Presidential Palace’s media office said.
The NPC that met under President Ashraf Ghani’s chairmanship discussed 11 procurement contracts worth more than one billion afs but approved three contracts worth above 204 million afghanis, the statement said.
The contracts approved were about procurement of electricity equipment for Sayed Abad district of central MaidanWardak province, 30 items for logistic department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and three items for the weapons and technical department of the Ministry of Defense.
President Ghani emphasized that project officials should be careful in all their procurement processes in order to strengthen transparency and monitoring mechanisms and to refrain from delays in implementation of projects.
