ISLAMABAD: OGDCL donated state of the art Basic Life Support Ambulance to Islamabad Traffic Police here at OGDCL Head Office Islamabad. An impressive ceremony was held at OGDCL House, Islamabad by Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) Department of OGDCL. Irteza Ali Qureshi, Chief Financial Officer, Malik Muhammad Afzal GM I/C (Admin/HR), GM CSR Salim Baz Khan and all Executive Directors and General Managers attended the ceremony.
Participants from ICT-Traffic Police included SSP Mr. Farrukh Rasheed, SP Mr. Khalid Rasheed, ASP Mr. Rana Hussain Tahir, Director FM Ms. Aisha Jamil also attended the ceremony. The Ex-Inspector General of Police, Islamabad Mr. Khalid Khattak was also present at the ceremony, who was the original initiator of the idea to provide Basic Life Support Ambulance and other CSR initiatives for Islamabad Police during his tenure.
The Chief Financial Officer Irteza Ali Qureshi informed the audience that OGDCL has also donated 15 state of the art ambulances across the country and project cost for this contribution comes at Rs.95.40 millions. These ambulances have been donated to the DHQ’s & THQ’S in the underdeveloped areas of Federal Capital, Punjab, Sindh, KPK & Balochistan.
Chief Financial Officer of OGDCL has further stated that priority has been given to the operational districts of OGDCL under this Mega Health Initiative with the hope to improve basic health needs of the neighboring population of OGDCL locations.
At the end of ceremony Mr. Irteza Ali Qureshi, CFO, OGDCL handed over the ambulance keys to SSP Traffic, Islamabad Capital territory Police.
