On first day of new year, a book fair inaugurated
in Kabul city

KABUL (Agencies): The Ministry of Information and Culture opened a book fair in a public place in the capital city of Kabul on the first day of the new year.
On the occasion, the Deputy Publications of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mohajer Farahi, said after a five-year delay the Baihaqi bookstore branch opened in this location with the opening of this books fair.
Farahi asked the citizens, mainly the youths, to dedicate a part of their lives to reading books, he urged that reading books and developing knowledge enlightens people’s thoughts and minds and is the only way to a pleasant life and development.
He said that in this book fair, about 90,000 books were displayed by the Baihaqi Book Publications Department and the book publishers, mainly the Holy Qur’an and religious science books.
A number of the citizens during their visit to this book fair called such exhibitions valuable steps in promoting the culture of study and raising the level of people’s knowledge.
