On line health library

The federal government has decided to introduce online health library for which suggestions and recommendations have been sought far from provincial governments. The library will serve as a database for keeping and sharing of all relevant information about the causes of diseases and the treatment provided for them. The introduction of online health library will encourage yearning for reading and research among the Young Turk doctors of different specialties as the old guard is averse to the research in the field of medicine and surgeries to apprise themselves about the latest inventions and techniques.

It is a matter of common observation that neither in hospitals nor in private clinics in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province specialist doctors  correctly diagnose the disease the patient is suffering from and suggest a number of medicines for the hit and trial treatment. Under the MTI Act provisions of promotion of professorial lot envisage the condition of research publications. Hopefully, it will be implemented in letter and spirit. Moreover, either the federal or provincial government should ensure access of young doctors to top notch international medical research journals by paying subscriptions and providing users’ ID to doctors.
