One FC soldier martyrs in border cross firing

LANDI KOTAL: One Frontier Corp (FC) soldier embraced martyrdom in firing from across the border by unidentified militants in Jarobi, the far-flung and bordering  area of Tehsil Landi Kotal of Khyber Agency on Thursday night.

The forces official said the martyred soldier along with his other colleagues was executing his duty on the Pak-Afghan border, located in hilly area of Tirah Valley when unknown militants opened indiscriminate firing from Afghan side of the border which killed the FC personnel on the spot. The armed persons managed to escape from the site, the official said. The deceased was identified as Hanif and was performing his duty as medical technician in military medical corp.
