One killed another injured in Lahore court shooting incident

LAHORE: At least two men lawyers were killed on Tuesday in Lahore lower court shooting incident.

According to reports, Lawyer Kashif Rajput opened fire within the premises of session’s court in a result two lawyers, identified as Rana Ishtiaq and Rana Nadeem Advocate, were injured in the incident.

One of the lawyers, Ishtiaq died on the spot, while other injured died after he was shifted to a nearby hospital.

Police told the media that Kashif Rajput is a cousin of deceased Ishtiaq and family dispute is a motive behind the killing.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the firing incident and sought report from the police. He also expressed grief over the killing of the lawyers.

Earlier, on Jan 31, two people, including a policeman and under-custody suspect, were killed during a firing incident outside the sessions court in Lahore.

Punjab Inspector General of Police Arif Nawaz took notice of the shootout at court and sought a report from the officials.
