ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif will likely to visit Lahore after Lahore High Court (LHC) approved his bail petition in corruption cases, on Friday.

According to local news channel reports, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will meet his mother and elder brother Nawaz Sharif during his visit to Lahore. Sources said that the PML-N president has barred his party workers from making any arrangements to welcome him on his arrival in the city.

Earlier on Thursday, a two-member LHC bench headed by Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed ordered to release PMLN President and after approving his bail petition.

The bail has been granted against two surety bonds worth one million each. Shahbaz Sharif had filed bail petition in Ramzan Sugar Mills and Ashiana Housing Scheme cases.

While commenting on the verdict, Shahbaz Sharif said the truth prevailed once again and thanked God. We are appearing before courts and will continue to do so, he vowed. He once again claimed to leave politics if corruption is proved against him.
