Opposition stages walk out from NA

ISLAMABAD: Government once again failed to table Federally Administrative Tribal Areas (FATA) reform bill in National assembly that led to opposition members to stage walk out for not presenting bill and announced would not sit in the house till the tabling of bill.

The opposition leader in NA Khurshed Shah, Government was committed to table bill in NA today as per its promise, however government failed to table the bill and now opposition has decided it would not sit in house till the tabling of bill.

“Opposition’s walk out is indefinite and it will continue till the presentation of FATA reform bill in NA,” Khursheed warned.

On the opposition protest, the speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq lashed out at FATA secretary and told the minister of State and Frontier Region (SAFRON “FATA secretariat is not giving due value to parliament as opposition is staging walks out on daily basis but you are not paying any heed to the move.

“You must take action against secretary FATA otherwise I will be compelled to recommend adjournment motion behalf of the whole house,” speaker warned.

In his reply SAFRON minister Abdul Qadri Baloch told the NA that FAtA reforms bill was in its finale phase and will be presented tomorrow.
