Opposition walks out over govt’s failure to table FATA reforms bill in NA

ISLAMABAD: The opposition protested and walkout in the National Assembly on Tuesday after the government didn’t table the FATA reforms bill on Tuesday.

Opposition Leader Syed Khursheed Shah strongly criticized the government behavior regarding the FATA reforms bill and adding that PML-N is not serious about the implementation of the FATA Reforms Bill.

Shah added that after seventy years we still hesitating to provide the basic rights to the people of FATA and lashes out at government for delaying the bill without any reason which is also a disrespect of parliament.

Shah further added that we hope that FATA reforms will be on Assembly agenda of tomorrow session on Wednesday (today) and till then we will not attend the assembly session in protest.

State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab informed the house that the prime minister has invited on Friday parliamentary leaders of all parties.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq adjourned the assembly session until 10am Wednesday (tomorrow) due to lack of quorum.
