Opposition’s outcry is unjustified on IMF dialogue: Dr Ramesh Kumar

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member National Assembly Dr Ramesh Kumar Friday said the opposition parties during their tenure took loans and bail out packages many times from International Monetary Fund (IMF) whereas their recent protest was unjustified.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said the government had not finalized the ongoing process with IMF on bailout package. The opposition could criticize when the deal would be finalized, he added.

He said the government would take the opposition into confidence on the deal with IMF.

He urged the opposition parties to support the government in policy making so that the country could become self-sufficient in economic affairs.

He said the IMF was the last option left for the present government to address economic problems of the country.

Kumar expressed his hope that it would be the last deal with the IMF, adding the opposition should support the government for the sake of the country.
