KOHAT: The Office of the Research, Industrialization and Commercialization (ORIC) of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST) organized a seminar on ‘Patent Ship’. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Jan, Director ORIC was the Chief Organizer of this event.
Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan, Vice Chancellor KUST while addressing participants of the seminar explained the importance of patent ship for recognizing creativity and material rewards for marketable inventions of an individual.
Vice Chancellor through light to guide students, faculty and young researchers about how patents protect owners and the valuable information that can be useful and inspiration for future generation, researchers and inventors.
Mr. Zahoor Ahmad, Manager ORIC and Additional Controller of Examinations University of Peshawar was the keynote speaker for the seminar who explained to the audience how patents provide incentive to individuals by offering them recognition for their creativity that encourages innovation.
The seminar was very informative and productive for faculty and students. Vice Chancellor congratulated Director ORIC and his staff for successfully organizing the event and hoped that with the active and effective role of ORIC and support of faculty and students, KUST will be known for his innovation and registering a good number of patents in a very near future.
