KILLA SAIFULLAH: The Education department and the district administration have resolved to achieve the target of enrolling over 11 thousand children in government-run schools in the district.
Speaking at a press conference regarding the enrollment campaign 2020, Deputy Commissioner Killa Saifullah Attiq-ur-Rehman Shahwani said that, the department will enroll over eleven thousand children in schools. Door-to-door campaign for the enrollment has been initiated and awareness is being created to meet the target. Enrollment committees at village level have also been constituted to make the drive a success.
Deputy Commissioner Shahwani was flanked by the District Education Officer Attaullah Kakar. Additional Deputy Commissioner Qasim Kakar, District Officer Education Baz Muhammad, Coordinator Education Support Programme Habib Tareen, General Manager National Commission for Human Development Hamidullah Meerzai, FO VCD Kaleemullah Kakar, DM RTSM, DDOs Jallat Khan, Bahadur Shah Nasar, female officers, cluster heads and LCs were also present in a large number.
EDO Attaullah Kakar on the occasion said that education was the fundamental right of each and every citizen and it is an obligation of the government to extend it to everyone. Balochistan government was striving to bring the academic standard at public sector schools by ensuring better facilities, he said.
“Education department supported by the district administration has set a target of enrolling 11514 children in schools,” adding the campaign is aimed at creating awareness regarding the importance of education, improving literacy rate and maximum enrollment of children in schools, he said. “The people should cooperate with the education department in their respective areas to get out-of-school children enrolled in public sector schools,” he demanded.
