Over 3m national electronic ID cards distributed, says NSIA

KABUL (Ariana News): A total of 3.12 million national electronic identification cards were distributed in the past 12 months in Afghanistan, the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) announced Monday. The number includes 2.68 million IDs for men and 1.56 million IDs for women.
In Kabul, 700,000 national electronic ID cards were distributed in 1402, followed by Herat (280,000), Balkh (188,000) and Nangarhar (162,000).
Kandahar distributed 155,000 e-ID cards in the past 12 months. Since the start of the process of distributing national electronic ID cards in the country, 12.9 million citizens have received the card, including 7.5 million men and 5.4 million women.
