KABUL (TOLOnews): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that over 8,000 cases of criminal activities have been recorded across the country within the first half of the current solar year.
MoI’s spokesman, Abdul Matin Qani, said that the cases include murder, robbery, kidnapping, and weapons’ smuggling.
“Approximately 8,210 cases of criminal activities across the country have been recorded with the police,” he said.
The MoI disclosed its report of activities of the first six months of the solar year.
“Around 3,604 suspects have been detained in connection with smuggling and producing narcotics and around 550 laboratories and 29 factories have been detected and eliminated,” Qani said.
He said that within this period, the security forces have launched over 3,400 raids regarding counter-narcotics nationwide.
According to him, more than 1,000 people have been killed and nearly 4,000 others sustained injuries in 2,200 traffic accidents across the country.
He said that Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Minister of Interior, visited many provinces of the country with the aim of calling for good treatment of the people by provincial authorities, and the implementation of the decrees of the leader of the Islamic Emirate.
