Pak has indiscriminate approach for all militant groups: Foreign Minister

WASHINGTON: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif has said the new US policy for South Asia bring strong public reaction in Pakistan in which Pakistan’s contribution and sacrifices were ignored and trying to prove Pakistan responsible for US failure in Pakistan which is not acceptable.

Khawaja Asif said this in a meeting with US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson. Khawaja is on a official visit to Washington on the invitation of Rex Tillerson. Asif informed Tillerson that Pakistan suffered huge losses because of Afghan conflict and it changes our economic condition very badly because of Afghanistan instability.

Pakistan and United State sharing common desire for peace and stability in Afghanistan and our 70 years long relationship is the example of our common interest but we need to acknowledge each other contributions as it was important for the sustainable relationship, Asif added.

Asif added that Pakistan started operation against the terrorists and gain so many achievements in this regard and now the terrorist attacks in Pakistan has decline to some extents comparing to other countries and the positive impact was shown on country economy.

“Pakistan has zero tolerance and indiscriminate approach in its operation to root out all the terrorist groups in the country”, Asif added.
