Pakhtunkhwa Radio playing vital role in promotion of talent

MINGORA: Pakhtunkhwa Radio is gift of Provincial Govt. for the people of Swat that not only introduced new talent to the listeners but also greatly contributed in the promotion of journalism. This was stated by senior working journalist of Swat Ghafoor Khan Adil while expressing his views in the program “Rangona Da Swat” broadcast by Pakhtunkhwa Radio.

Ghafoor Adil said that social media brought about major changes in the world of media. However he said that the deficiency also existed in the news and views of social media. He in respect of the negative propaganda on social media pages said that the local administration must play role to stream line it and take action against those who try to miss lead the people on different fake pages.

He said that responsible social media pages also existed that strictly follow the law and journalistic values and hence people had to differentiate between good and bad social media pages and follow only those which obey the rules. He said that those attaining higher education in media had bright future as he said that this was age of the youth and they had to show their capabilities in all walks of life including the media. He said that media also played key role in the war of civilization in the world.
