Pakistan athletes reach Tehran

PESHAWAR: Pakistan athletic team reached Tehran to participate in the forthcoming Asian Indoor Athletic Championship to be commencing Thursday evening, Manager Pakistan team and former international athlete Habib-ur-Rehman Afridi told local media on phone.

He said Pakistan team has good chances of winning medal in 4X400m relay, 60m hurdles and 400m race. He said the team comprising Nokar Hussain, Mehboob Ali, Nishad Bhatti, Muhammad Nadeem and Tanveer Hussain.

He said Pakistan have also won gold medal in 4X400 relay and this time the team have good chances to win back gold medal. He also thanked President Pakistan Athletic Federation Major General (Retd) Akram Sahi for holding a camp well before the event.
