Pakistan confirms 707 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 707 new coronavirus cases Monday in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.

According to the figures, 707 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours after conducting 26492 tests.

It takes the total cases tally to 328, 602 that returned positive after conducting 4290545total tests so far. The number of active cases in the country reached 10,788 with 559 patients in critical condition.

There were 584 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 311,075 with a 94.7% recovery rate.

However, there were three more causalities related to the deadly disease as death toll due to coronavirus has reached 6,739 that represents a ratio of 2.1%. Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 198 cases in last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 102,875 with 3,192 active cases.

The province did not report any new virus-related death for the second consecutive day as death toll remains at 2,335. With 12 new recoveries, 97,348 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

The most affected province Sindh has once again recorded 136 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 143,836 with 4,584 active cases. The province did not report any new death as the death remains 2,598.

With 136 new recoveries, 136,654 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 28 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 39,043 with 513 active cases.

The province reported no new death as death toll remains 1,269. With 34 new recoveries, 37,261 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan has recorded another 9 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 15,810 with 227 active cases. The province reported no new virus-related death as the death toll remains at 148.

With 34 new recoveries, 15,435 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far. Islamabad has recorded 91 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 18,069 with 1,346 active cases.

Two new death was reported in the Federal Capital as virus death toll reached 212. With 143 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients reached at 17,454 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 58 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,846 with 714 active cases. With one new death, the death toll reached 87.

There were 206 new recoveries in the AJK as 3,045 patients have recovered so far from the virus. Gilgit-Baltistan has recorded 13 new cases during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 4,180 with 212 active cases.

With no new death reported in the province, the death toll remained at 90. There were 14 more patients recovered from the deadly disease as 3,878 patients have recovered from the virus so far.
