Pakistan eyeing comeback in ODI series against England

F.P. Report

BRISTOL: Pakistan will face England in the third one-day international (ODI) at County Ground in Bristol on Tuesday (today).

According to details, the host England is leading the five-match ODI series 1-0 lead after Jos Buttler’s 50-ball century helped England beat Pakistan by 12 runs in a thrilling encounter at Southampton on Saturday.

The first game was abandoned due to rain.

Mohammad Amir will not turn out after reports of the fast bowler suffering from suspected chickenpox emerged on Monday. The 27-year-old missed Pakistan’s second ODI after team officials said he had come down with a viral infection.

On the other hand, England’s star bowler Jofra Archer and Adil Rashid will be rested for today’s game, with Joe Denly likely to get an opportunity as England’s reserve spinner in Rashid’s absence.

The match between England and Pakistan will begin at 5pm Pakistan Standard Time.
