Pakistan fully capable of defending its soil: Khurram Dastagir

F.P Report

ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khurram Dastagir has said that Pakistan is fully capable of defending its soil and we need no one aid, Pakistan wants recognition of its sacrifices.

Dastagir said this while talking to private news channel in response to US President Donald Trump’s tweet. He added that armed forces and civilians had rendered great sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and still we were blamed for giving safe havens to terrorists which is very unfortunate.

Dastagir added that Pakistan had extended its support unconditionally for the elimination of Al-Qaeda from Afghanistan besides fighting the war against terrorism.

US need to destroy the terrorist’s havens in Afghanistan who continuing trying to attack Pakistan but trying to cover its failure they are blaming Pakistan, he added.

He made it clear that Afghanistan’s war would not be fought from the soil of Pakistan and adding that Pakistan had started fencing to secure its border. He committed that it was Pakistan’s mistake to provide bases to the US.

Dastagir further added that Pakistan could gain nothing from the US. Pakistan has had to face huge economic losses due to fighting the war against terrorism, he added.
