ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Kuwait have agreed to increase bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, including defence, security and counter-terrorism.
An understanding to this effect came during Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s separate meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of General Staff Kuwait Armed Forces Lieutenant General Mohammed Khaled Al-Khadher and Under Secretary National Guard Lieutenant General Staff Engineer Hashim Abdurazaq Al-Refaea in Kuwait.
Both the sides agreed to increase cooperation in the fields of training, and provision of trained manpower.
During the meetings, matters pertaining to mutual interest, bilateral defence and security cooperation and regional peace and stability came under discussion.
The political and military leadership of Kuwait highly appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan Army and determination of the Pakistani nation in combating terrorism.
Earlier, on arrival at Army Headquarters in Kuwait, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was received by Chief of General Staff Kuwait Armed Forces Lieutenant General Mohammed Khaled Al-Khadher.
