Pakistan no longer security zone: Ali Zaidi

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has said that Pakistan used to be a security zone but it has now turned into an economic zone. In a statement Sunday, the Minister said Pakistan has stood on its own feet. “Pakistan used to be visualised as a security zone but now it has become an economic zone.”

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said that international cricket should now return to Pakistan, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan was also focusing on revival of international cricket in the country as he had directed ministers to work towards achieving that end.

About the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season, he said his favourite team was the one which comprises of most players from Karachi.

Earlier, on March 6, the minister had said all political parties of Pakistan were united against Indian aggression but India

was divided.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said Pakistan leadership had exhibited great political wisdom and maturity during recent tensions between Pakistan and India. The decision of Prime Minister imran Khan was widely lauded by the international community and his commitment to stand with peace in the region, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said.
