ISLAMABAD: On Women’s Day 2020, Pakistan pays special tribute to all the Kashmiri women who have suffered Indian atrocities.
In her tweets today (Sunday), the Foreign Office spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said since 1989, 22,911 women have been widowed, 11,179 molested and raped while 2377 killed by Indian forces in the Occupied Kashmir.
The spokesperson said women leaders Asiya Andrabi, Nahida Nasreen, Fahmida Sofi and many others remain incarcerated.
The spokesperson wrote the famous quote of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in which he said no nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you.
The spokesperson said on this day we pay tribute to Pakistani women whose hard work is contributing towards Nation’s growth and development in every walk of life.
