Pakistan permits Kulbhushan to meet his family on December 25

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan allowed Indian spy Kulbhsuan Jadhav to meet his wife and mother on December 25.

Foreign Office spokesman, Dr Muhammad Faisal told media on Friday during his weekly briefing. He added that during the meeting a staff member from the Indian embassy will also be present.

As the security forces, the arrested Indian, Kulbhusan Sundir Jadhav alias Hussein Mubarak Patel was arrested on March 3, 2016, from Mashkhel area of Balochistan through a counter-intelligence operation for his involvement in spying and creating chaos activities in Pakistan.

After the investigation it was confirmed that Jadhav is an Indian Navy officer and he confessed his crimes during his video statement.

Earlier on April 10 that year, the military court announced death sentence for the RAW agent to death for sabotaging activities in Balochistan and Karachi and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa confirmed the death sentence awarded by the Field General Court Martial under the Pakistan Army Act.

India approached the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to hear the case and declaring it against the law and humanity and rejects the claims of Jadhav as Indian spy agent.

ICJ ordered Pakistan on May18, 2017to stop the execution of Jadhav until a final decision in the case.

Meanwhile, India submitted its reply on September 13, India submitted its reply (pleadings) to the ICJ in the case.

Pakistan will submit its counter-pleadings in the case on December 13.
