Pakistan sacrifices a lot in fight against terrorism

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair stated that implement on government’s policies is not possible without the interest of officers. He said this while talking to a 27-member delegation of foreign diplomats trainees who called on him in Karachi on Wednesday.

He maintained that officer’s incessant training is imperative to cope with challenges adding that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will prove a game changer for the region including Pakistan. The Governor said the role of diplomats is vital for the promotion of international relations.

He said Pakistan has sacrificed a lot in the fight against terrorism that should be acknowledged by international community. Governor Sindh said due to its geographical location Pakistan’s role is vital for peace in South Asia and the whole world.

He said Karachi is economic and trade center offering investment opportunities to foreign investors. Muhammad Zubair has said that eradication of crippling disease of polio is a priority of the government and preventive measures are being undertaken in this regard.

Talking to the President of the Rotary Club International, Ian HS Riseley in Karachi , he said that awareness can be fostered among the masses through education and as such promotion of education is also the priority of the government.

The Governor lauded the cooperation of the Rotary Club International towards efforts of Pakistan for the elimination of polio. Zubair said that creating awareness among the people is of immense significance and that this should continue on a regular basis.
