F.P. Report
ISLAMABAD: Former President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan should not boycott the Organization of Islamic State (OIC) summit as the members of the summit are friends of Pakistan, not India, on Friday.
Zadari said this while addressing in the national assembly and responding to Foreign Minster Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s decision of not attending OIC, Zardari said if the parliament is in the favor of it then he is also not having any issue.
Meanwhile, Zardari paid tribute to Squadron Leader Hassan Siddiqui for downing Indian jets and termed him nation’s ‘hero’.
PPP Co-Chairman also appreciated Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s goodwill gesture to release Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthman and said, “I want to tell the world that Pakistan is a democratic and peace loving country.”
Narendra Modi has done all this for his win in the upcoming polls in India, he claimed.
The former president further said that Russia, Turkey and China can play significant role in de-escalating the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India.
