Pakistan stands on 6th spot in new ICC test ranking

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan standing at the 6th spot in the new International Cricket Council (ICC) men test team ranking.

As per the new ranking under the skipper Virat Kohli, India retained the number 1 spot and South Africa are on the second while England secured third position in the test ranking.

New Zealand has further stronger their position on number 4 spot when Australia lost a test match against Bangladesh and three. Both New Zealand and Australia shared 97 points but New Zealand are on the 4th and Australia are standing on the fifth spot in the test ranking.

Pakistan haven’t played a test since its last test against West Indies in May and in that tour both the experienced players, skipper Misbal-ul-Haq and record maker batsman Younis Khan announced their retirement.

Meanwhile, after winning a historic Test against Australia, Bangladesh gained five points and stand at ninth position with 74 points, just one point behind West Indies (74) at number 8.
