Pakistan Stock Exchange loses 155 points

ISLAMABAD: The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 155.58 points, a negative change of 1 percent, closing at 41,220.91 against 41,520.59 points on the last working day.

A total of 156,574,427 shares were traded during the day compared to 148,214,458 shares the previous day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs.5.668 billion against Rs.7.519 billion on the last trading day.

As many as 322 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 95 of them recorded gain and 204 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 23 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were K-Electric Ltd with 18,418,000 shares at Rs.3 per share, TLP Properties with 14,436,246 shares at Rs.19.90 per share and TRG Pak Ltd with 14,352,832 shares at Rs.114.64 per share.

Sapphire Fiber witnessed a maximum increase of Rs.75.06 per share price, closing at Rs.1075.88 whereas the runner up was Premium Tex with Rs.15 rise in per share price to Rs.799.

Sapphire Textile witnessed maximum decrease of Rs.70.51 per share closing at Rs.1020.50 followed by Faisal Spinning with Rs.36.60 decline to close at Rs.408.40. (APP)
